  • Coordinators of each partner school will inform the Project staff about the project .
  • Project staff of each school will inform parents and students about the main aims of the project, activities and other partners.
  • Teachers will introduce themselves by email.
  • Exchanging first ideas and suggestions for project activities and mobility.

October 2010

  • Announcing a competition of the Project logo: Every school will choose the best candidate of the school and announce it.
  • Students and teachers will introduce themselves on school websites..
  • Comenius clubs will be established at schools. 
  • Each school will do powerpoint presentations for sharing with partner schools: My City, My School.
  •  An exhibition will be prepared to present the project and the partners in the schools

November 2010

  • Meeting in Latvia: First steps for building  a good relationship! Presentation of each school, choosing the Project Logo, discussion about the content of following meetings, cultural trips and visits, Exchanging information about teaching methods and new ideas. Distribution of tasks of the first year.
  • A demonstration of a traditional game and song of each partner.

  • Launching the project’s website and placing the first documents (The 1st meeting, My City and my school)
  • Establishing e-mails contacts: Exchange of pupils emails.

January 2011

  • In the beginning of January a questionnaire about student’s awarenes of other countries, the reasons of xenophobia, their suggestions for defeating xenophobia.
  • Preparing presentations: My Country ( the geographical location, capital, culture, historical places, climate etc.) and displaying on website.
  • Each partner will choose a traditional recipe of their country and cook and video this activity.

February 2011

  • Meeting in Italy: Cultural information presentation of Italy, Evaluation of the applied questionnaire’ and using the results to determine the subtitles of our Peace Book. To update work programme. “Key is education” to overcome xenophobia: Finding out new ideas.(reasons and ways to defeat) International Gourmet Lunch: All participants will present videos and cook their recipes with each other. Discussing the programme of activities for the students’ meeting in Lithuania. Preparing a questionnaire for the evaluation of the Project Process.

March 2011

  • Introducing significant figures of each partner country’s history whose emphasize has been on the brotherhood of nations on the website.
  • Each partner will share some famous sayings of their countries that are related to peace by mail and the pupils of each country will translate these sayings into their own language in classes. These studies will be presented on wall panels.

  • Meeting in Liuthania-cultural information presentation of Liuthania using ICT. Exchanging more ideas about the theme of our Project. Discussing the programme of activities for the students’ meeting in Bulgaria.

  • Meeting in Bulgaria: Cultural information presentation of Bulgaria. Preparing a national holiday calender and informing each other about one national ceromony via Powerpoint presentation or video. Discussing the programme of activities for the students’ meeting in Poland.

  • Displaying pictures of each country’s traditions, dances, games and ceremonies on the project’s website.
  • Evaluation of the first year progress: A report will be prepared summarizing all the activities and outcomes of the first year and send to coordinating school by email.
  • Celebration of the Open Day at each school: to show outcomes, the work performed with presentations, exhibitions. Sharing experiences participating in a Comenius Project.
